From CCBC Peru Director John Bonner

This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time, and finally found a minute here at the end of our Fall 2007 semester to sit down with my son Joshua, and have him help me set up the official CCBC-Peru blogsite.

Each semester, students comment how life on our campus is like being in a close-knit family. And it is SO true! We eat together, study together and minister together for months, and forge strong relationships we expect to endure thoughout eternity. And as with any family, some move away and we must say goodbye. I envision this blog to be an interactive "scrapbook," and my attempt to help keep the family informed on what Jesus is doing in all of our lives.

I hope this environment will be a special blessing to so many present and former CCBC-Peru students for years to come! I also hope that visitors and prospective students will find the following student contributions helpful for you to understand the very special ministry that is going on through the Peru ministries.

This blog is for you, the alumni of CCBC-Peru, so that you might glorify the Lord through it by your plentious and frequent contributions. Enjoy, and have fun!

Los amo, y los extrano.

hey, this is Daniel. While in college here in Lima, i came just out of high scool. When i got here, i was surprised at how much close people can get.We are like a family and I love it and now its almost time to leave. When I came, i knew the Lord was going to speak to me, but not as much as he did. He humbled me greatly this semester and showed me just how to rely on him for EVERYTHING. HE has been so faithful to me and he has greatly blessed me here with more knowledge and wisdom, life long friends and just the desire to come back. I love it here and this is where I want to spend my next 3 semesters. Its an awesome experience and Im praying, Lord willing, that I could come back.
LOVE YOU ALL MY PERU FAMILY! CHAU!

Hola my Peruvian familia,
this is Gabriel. I was there in the spring (according to Murrietta) semesters of 2003 and 2004. My whole perspective of life changed. It made me see what a wretch I was and how glorious and gracious God is. I'm renting from my mom now and working and going to a community college. I after graduating bible college I went with some missionaries to Durango Mex. and it was there the doctors found I have diabetes. All that time I thought it was the food and the water, ya pues. I'm still a work in progress. Oh, I don't have a ring, do I get my money back, Just kidding. Well, if you remember, please pray for me, especially for my health physically as well as spiritually.
Que Dios le Bendiga.

Hello this is Joanna Buleje (used to be Golightly)...former student, librarian, teacher, cookie baker and breakfast maker of CCBC Peru (2002-2005). This is a really cool idea, i hope a lot of people add current info. Here's mine:

For those of you who don't know, i got married in Nov. of 2005 to Juan Carlos Buleje (better known as Chinky) from CC Chorrillos and we have been living in California since Feb. 2006. This past Christmas night we had our first baby, a beautiful little girl named Victoria Anne. The Lord has provided a small apartment for us in Gardena, CA and a wonderful job for Chinky as a land surveyor in the Port of Long Beach. Chinky is also finishing his Bible College Classes at our local Calvary Chapel and we are both pretty busy learning how to be parents :) We are planning to visit Peru in March or April so the baby can meet her grandparents and all our friends and church family in Lima and Chorrillos. We are also working on building a house in Chorrillos, where we plan to live in the not too distant future, Lord willing. We are just waiting on the Lord for His provision and direction! I hope to hear from others of you soon. Our email is chinksteryjoannita@hotmail.com

God Bless!

We are living in portland, oregon. I work for the school district in computers, and for the church in Youth Ministry and we are both going to grad school.
